Research Theme | Artists Exchange in Asia |
Brief Description of the Research | David Cabecinha aimed to realize a cultural exchange program in Asia and he researched to understand cultural exchange programs in Asia and to meet artists and arts managers. During his residency, he attended Festival/Tokyo and Kyoto Experiment and interviewed several playwrights, theatre directors and arts managers from young and emerging to deepen his understanding in Japanese contemporary dance. |

David Cabecinha explained his idea of the festival’s direction and themes, as well as the history and activities of Alkantara based in Lisbon.
■Profile
David Cabecinha
David Cabecinha majored in Theatre at Lisbon Theatre and Film School. After his graduation, he worked as an actor for several works in Portugal. In 2013, He joined a theatre company, mala voadora directed by Jorge Andrade and work as an actor, as well as assistant director, dramaturg and tour manager. From 2016 to 2017, he curated the program of Temps d’Images Lisboa which produces visual arts, performing arts and films. In 2018, he became a co-director of Alkantara.
