In view of the importance of the protection of personal information in today’s highly developed information society, The Saison Foundation (hereafter referred to as “the Foundation”) ensures the protection of personal information in the following manner:

1. Obtaining Personal Information

The Foundation obtains personal information through legal and fair means.
When obtaining personal information through written sources directly from individuals, the Foundation will notify the purpose of the use in advance. When obtaining personal information indirectly through other sources, the Foundation will announce the purpose of use in advance or provide notification without delay.

2. Use of Personal Information

The Foundation will use personal information only within the scope necessary to conduct business for the purposes indicated at the time of acquiring such information.
When the Foundation uses personal information in joint with a third party or entrusts the use of personal information to a third party, the Foundation will do so after strict research on the third party and will properly supervise the third party to protect personal information.

3. Providing Personal Information to Third Parties

The Foundation will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual involved, except for legal duties.

4. Proper Management of Personal Information

The Foundation will maintain the accuracy of personal information of individuals and control the information safely within the scope of prescribed use informed to individuals.
The Foundation will promptly delete or destroy personal information when such information becomes unnecessary, and will only keep minimum amount of personal information as necessary for its purposes.
The Foundation will strive to prevent unauthorized access to personal information or their alteration, destruction, or leakage by information theft, and will implement security measures against computer viruses.
The Foundation will take internal measures to prevent leakage of personal information by forbidding in principle the removal or transmission of such information.

5. On Disclosure, Revision, Suspension, Deletion, and Suspension of Sharing Personal information

The Foundation will promptly correspond without objection to legal requests from individuals to disclose, revise, suspend, delete, or suspend sharing to third parties their personal information when the Foundation confirms that the individual does have the right to do so.

6. Organization and Structure

The Foundation will appoint a Personal Information Protection Manager and administer personal information properly.
The Foundation will ensure that its officers, employees, and temporary staff recognize the importance of the protection of personal information through internal education programs and of proper use of personal information within routine work.

7. Employees and Other Parties Concerned

In order to enforce this policy, the Foundation will ensure that its employees and other parties concerned will fully understand the contents of this policy.
