| Brief Description of the Research | Focusing on the next generation of Japanese artists, he researched the ecosystem of performing arts such as theater, dance and performance art. During his stay, he visited Festival / Tokyo and KYOTO EXPERIMENT, and met with Japanese dramaturgs, directors, choreographers, producers, and researchers, mainly from young to mid-career, to deepen his understanding of the situation of Japanese performing arts. |

Brief Description of the Public Talk:
He presented the cases of the Indonesian Dance Festival and the program of Theater Garashi / Galasi Performance Institute for Cabaret Chairil and introduced the expressions and activities of the next generation’s artists in Indonesia.

Taufik Darwis
Studied performing arts at Indonesia Art College (STSI) Bandung
After that, he worked as a freelance dramaturg based in Bandung, and co-founded BPAF (Bandung Performing Arts Forum), artists collective.
Since 2016, he has been a co-curator of the Indonesian Dance Festival. In 2018, he has been invited as a guest curator at the Teater Garasi / Garasi Performance Institute for Cabaret Chairil.
TPAM-First visit to Japan at the International Performing Arts Meeting in Yokohama 2018, participating in the Asian Dramaturg Network. He also participated in TPAM 2019 as a member of the Next Generation hosted by the Japan Foundation Asia Center. An interview article has been published in Asia Hundreds (Japan Foundation Asia Center).
